Isle Announces the Winners of the 2016 TechXchange Innovation Awards at SIWW

July 10, 2016, The Marina Bay Sands, Singapore – The 2016 TechXchange Innovation Awards were announced today by Piers Clark, Chairman of Isle, during the TechXchange Conference taking place at Singapore International Water Week (SIWW).

The 2016 TechXchange Innovation Awards were announced today by Piers Clark, Chairman of Isle, during the TechXchange Conference taking place at Singapore International Water Week (SIWW).

Innovative companies showcased their technologies at TechXchange to connect with potential partners and investors from around the world. The day saw four winners, ‘Most Innovative Municipal Technology’ and ‘Most Innovative Industrial Technology’ as voted for by the Judges and, ‘Most Innovative Municipal Technology’ and ‘Most Innovative Industrial Technology’ as voted for by the audience via the TechXchange app, sponsored by XPV Water Partners.

The Municipal Water Innovation Competition featured presentations from innovative technologies (Subnero, Syrinix, Lighthaus, Utilis, Century Water and Oxymem), followed by questions, analysis and debate involving both audience and panel. The Judges of the innovative technologies were Tim Lam, MD of Isle Singapore, Steven Kloos, Managing Partner of True North Venture Partners and Paul-Joel Derian, Group Senior Vice-President Science & Technologies at Suez. The Judges innovation award was presented to Eddy Segal, VP Sales at Utilis, Israel. The audience then took part in the interactive competition as the ‘fourth judge’ and had the opportunity to vote for who they believe should win the innovation award. The People’s choice award was given to Dr. Eoin Syron, CTO at Oxymem, Ireland. Judge Tim Lam of Isle commented that ‘Utilis’ satellite radar imaging has proven once again how innovative technology can be as long as we do not limit our imagination.’ Congratulations Eddy at Utilis and Eoin at Oxymem!

The Industrial Innovation Competition followed in the afternoon, which featured presentations from 7 more innovative technologies (Envirotech & Consultancy, Nanostone, Arvia, Aerofloat, EDI, Vienna Water Monitoring and Muradel). The Judges for this part of the competition were David Henderson,Managing Partner at XPV Water Partners, Lorraine Frega, Chief Strategy Officer at Shanghai Winner and Adam Lovell, Executive Director at WSAA. The Industrial Innovation Competition Winner was Wolfgang Vogl from Vienna Water Monitoring. Judge Lorraine Frega, Chief Strategy Officer, Shanghai Winner commented that VWM’s continuous monitoring solution delivers substantial value for municipal and industrial customers who need to have reliable, real-time microbiological measures, and that Wolfgang had articulated his technology’s unique selling point in a very convincing way. The People’s Choice Winner through the realtime app was also Wolfgang Vogl from Vienna Water Monitoring!
