Sofia Velasquez Posada is a Junior Technology Consultant at Isle. She holds a BSc in Civil Engineering with a minor in Project Management from EAFIT University in Medellin, Colombia. In Colombia, she worked for two years at a company designing hydroelectric power plants.

She then pursued an MSc in Environmental Engineering at TU Delft in the Netherlands, focusing on water treatment. For her graduation project, she studied the feasibility of using Kaumera® (Royal HaskoningDHV), a biopolymer recovered from excess wastewater sludge, as a fertiliser in agriculture. Following this, she worked as a researcher at TU Delft, further investigating the characterization of the biopolymer.

Sofia is eager to learn more about innovative water treatment technologies used in diverse industries to solve water challenges.

She joined Isle in July 2024 as a Junior Technology Consultant.
