Isle is seeking a Key Account / Sales Manager (Strategic partnerships -Industrials) to join our team of passionate and motivated individuals working to accelerate the uptake of innovative solutions into the water sector.
The Key Account / Sales Manager (Strategic partnerships -Industrials)’s primary role will be supporting global business development activities for European industrial water practices with existing and future customers. The Key Account / Sales Manager (Strategic partnerships – Industrials) will report to the Global Director of Industry.
The starting date for this position is the 1st of October 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Sales of Industry practice services portfolio to our existing and target accounts.
- Development of new projects and opportunities in existing customers and prospects; long cycle, establishing a contract where Isle Industry Practice provides water management services, including water audits & efficiency assessments, water technology and treatment feasibility assessments, and innovation services in multi-year contracts service agreements.
- Identify, qualify, develop, and maintain a pipeline of assessment opportunities to generate sufficient sales for Industry consulting services to meet organizational goals, including Orders and Revenue Targets for the period in the region. Typical consulting services include technology assessments, technical feasibility assessments, water audit & efficiency services, decision support tools, and innovation services.
- Develop winning proposals and value propositions based on client CTQs for each project. Working with the customer or prospective industrial water specialists or corporate water directors, leverage Isle Group’s technical expertise, innovation, and project management capabilities to drive deals to closure.
- Manage customer relationships with other internal stakeholders, coordinating in the development phase with the global commercial and industrial delivery teams based in the Netherlands.
- Identify, target, and structure a relationship with market development partners. A market development partner is one who could bring us into multiple projects early in the project lifecycle over the next several years.
- Become the absolute expert in the designated territory, industry, or application by understanding the politics, market dynamics, competitive dynamics, and key partners and attending specific industrial water conferences or meetings.
- Prepare marketing materials to become thought leaders in industrial and corporate water, including, among others, the following activities: attend water sector conferences (Weftech, GWS, UPM, PWS, ) as a speaker; social media news (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), technical webinars about recent challenges solve with our projects, prepare case studies about relevant projects delivered in the region, among others.
The preferred Candidate will have:
- University degree, preferably in a technical field and a minimum of 5 years of industrial water treatment or technology experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience selling long-cycle intangibles.
- At least three years of experience selling at the corporate/executive level.
- Ability to communicate (written and verbal) in English and German.
The candidate must have the right to work in the EU. The position will be based in our office in Utrecht, although there is the opportunity for hybrid working. Many of our staff work from home and so the candidate should be prepared to operate in a remote working environment.
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrated ability to work in matrix environment/organisation
- Strong communication and leadership skills in the home (local) language.
- Contract management experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of core water processes
- Comprehensive technical consulting portfolio knowledge
- Project Management or Process Engineering Experience
- 5+ years of experience selling long-cycle intangibles, preferably corporate water or environmental sustainability.
- Experience in high-level (C-level) customer selling
- Strong knowledge of industrial project execution and financial metrics
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to communicate (written and verbal) in French or Spanish.
