Sara holds a MSc degree in Water Resources Engineering and Management from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. She is specialized on the subject areas of the Sanitary and Hydraulic Engineering. During her studies she has been an active member and part of the IAHR committee for the young professional network in the Baden-Württemberg area, Germany.

Before joining to Isle, Sara was doing an internship at Centre of Expertise Water Technology in the Netherlands where she was part of the R&D team in planning and executing practical research. During that time, she wrote her MSc thesis focused on the greywater treatment and re-use by the decentralized water treatment system. While doing the internship she got involved on the side-project for “Virtual Living Lab: Durban Challenge” as an interactive knowledge exchange to find solutions for the current reality of water and wastewater catchments facing Durban in South Africa.
