Alejandro is a water industry management executive with over 25 years of extensive, wide-ranging experience in the sector. Has worked with public, private, and industrial clients in the Northeast and Southeast United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina providing planning, engineering design, construction management, design-build, program management, and commissioning of water and wastewater infrastructure. Alejandro’s experience also includes utility operations working as Deputy Technical Director for the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (PRASA) managing the resolution of technical and compliance issues for all of Puerto Rico’s water and wastewater systems.
Over the past 15 years, in addition to engineering services, Alejandro has been providing management consulting services to the water industry. These include assessing, advising, and guiding water utilities to adopt technologies and processes to achieve business transformation and operational efficiencies including technical due diligence, asset condition assessments, financial reviews (CAPEX/OPEX/business case evaluations), operating technologies (AMI/SII), asset management, security risk and resiliency, and advised on operational, engineering, and technology business practices, resulting in optimized business performance.
Alejandro holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Honors) from Northeastern University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, and Vermont. Additionally, his professional memberships include AWWA, Florida Section of AWWA (FSAWWA), and WEF. Alejandro is fluent in English and Spanish.
