About the event

Faça os contatos com o ambiente (Dealing with the Environment) is an event including advanced training courses and special projects, organised by Labelab Srl since 2008 in the historical centre of Ravenna. From this year the event becomes itinerant. The High Training School on Water Systems Management will take place from 15 to 17 May in Brescia, in the spaces of the Centro de Contaminação Inovador da CSMT. The Training is organised by Associazione Idrotecnica Italiana, in collaboration with Isle Utilities and Labelab, with the patronage of the Università degli Studi di Brescia, CSMT, Italian Association and Coordination Centre for Non Destructive Testing (AIPnD and CICPnD), H2O by BFWE and with Servizi a Rete as media partner:

The Training School will provide participants with an overview of the progress of the projects financed by the PNRR M2C4 I4.2 call (Reducing losses in water distribution networks, including digitalisation and network monitoring), a presentation of the opportunities offered by the PNIISSI (National Plan of Infrastructural Interventions and for the Security of the Water Sector), and an update on the regulatory and normative aspects.

The best practice approaches and emerging technologies presented will cover the themes that have characterised the School in previous editions – pressure management, asset management, digitalisation, water loss management – plus: survey automation, energy efficiency and innovative technologies for sewerage and water treatment plants. Isle Utilities will also present its initiatives to foster the development and adoption of the most promising new technologies, including support for pilot testing.

Participants will be guided along a path that will range from the European context – the new European Urban Waste Water Directive, Water Safety Plans, DNSH principle (Do No Significant Harm) – to local needs, such as regulatory compliance and sustainable use of water resources in Italy, a country with a high hydrogeological risk and increasingly marked drought episodes, with the aim of offering hints on how to ride – and not suffer – the change that water service management is facing.
