Prior to the pandemic, many service providers were prioritizing planning and response to PFAS. However, utilities have had to reprioritize and mobilize resources in response to COVID-19. As we continue to learn that both topics remain of high importance, Isle Utilities, in partnership with leading water utilities around the world, is facilitating collaborative projects between end users to increase peer exchange of best practice and learning of vetted emerging solutions to these topics.

On 29th January 2020, the Working Group ‘Water Security’ organised a workshop on Quantitative Assessment of Water Security. The workshop was hosted by KWR Water Research Institute in the Netherlands. The co-leaders of the Working Group, Jan Hofman (University of Bath and KWR) and Blanca Antizar (Isle Utilities) chaired the day. Over 20 participants from different destinations in Europe came to Nieuwegein to join the workshop.
