A new website dedicated to collaboration and knowledge-sharing in the water sector has been launched by technology consultancy Isle.

The Water Action Platform, which is sponsored by leading water industry partners, pools experience and expertise from utilities around the world. It started as a response to Covid19 but is now encompassing a much wider range of topics.

While conventional business practices encourage neutrality and keeping politics/personal beliefs at a minimum, the continued acts of injustice towards Black people require a clear position on this significant issue.

The American Water Works Association and Isle Utilities are excited to invite utilities to participate in the Resilience TAG Series. As essential businesses, utilities must build the resilience they need to ensure continuous operations of their critical infrastructure. This three-part program will give utilities the exclusive opportunity to review cultivated solutions through live demonstrations, peer-to-peer interaction, and networking with top technology providers during two virtual workshops and one in-person event.

A WhatsApp group intended for a handful of utilities to share learnings and experiences of the Covid-19 pandemic has quickly scaled to involve over 180 organisations. Isle founder and chairman Piers Clark started the social media chat group just over two weeks ago as the lockdown of populations meant utilities had to respond rapidly to multiple unprecedented challenges.
