On the 21st March, Isle, in partnership with Metro Pacific Water and Maynilad Water Academy, ran the second event in the ‘Confluence’ series in Manila. ‘Confluence’ is an innovation working group consisting of around 20 of the most progressive and forward thinking water districts in the Philippines. The objective of Confluence is to plant the seed for collaborative working relationships and to kick-start the innovation mindset.

The event was dedicated to ‘Innovation Leadership Training’, and we were honoured to share the stage with three accomplished guest speakers – Ms. Luisa Magalhaes from Unitywater (Australia), Mr. Fong Han Loong and Ms. Ang Sok Gek from PUB (Singapore) and Ms. Kirshna Venugopal from Development Finance International (Philippines). It comprised a unique combination of presentations, case studies, guided discussions and creative team activities.

We saw some fantastic outcomes and ideas emerge, such as “Be Brave!” and “Manage with a ❤”. Certainly an appropriate response for such an enthusiastic and passionate bunch of water professionals. Needless to say, the event closed with a bright and colourful karaoke session in which the delegates and speakers took part.

We look forward to seeing how this group develops and evolves over the coming months.
