Natalia is an Environmental Biotechnologist with a strong background in Bioprocess Engineering and Industrial Biotechnology. She also holds an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Water Engineering from Cranfield University.

At Isle, Natalia works as a Senior Technology Consultant, delivering projects for water utilities and industrial clients globally. She is involved in technology evaluations and due diligence, contributes to consultancy projects, and supports the delivery of exploitation and engagement activities for the EU-funded UP-TO-ME project, ensuring the successful adoption of this innovative solution.
With over 12 years of experience, Natalia has contributed to a range of international research projects focused on sustainable biotechnology, including insect-based food waste upcycling, biofuel production from microalgae, and the study of bacterial lipid markers to understand microbial characteristics. For her EngD degree as a part of the Industrial Doctorate Centre for the Water Sector (STREAM), Natalia focused on understanding and managing Fat, Oil, and Grease (FOG) deposits in sewer networks, investigating bio-additive solutions to enhance wastewater infrastructure.

Her expertise in industrial biotechnology, microbiology, and sustainable innovation drives her commitment to addressing environmental challenges and advancing the application of biotechnology in the water sector.
